TANGO-Circular in Tricase (LE): A Round Table on Circular Economy
On May 8, 2025, a round table was held in the auditorium of the G. Comi high school in Tricase (LE) to discuss the circular economy and development perspectives for the Capo di Leuca municipalities with younger generations. This event was one of the ‘Tango-Circular’ project’s dissemination meetings and represented an opportunity to illustrate to students and other participants the role of the circular economy as a catalyst for regional development.
After the welcome address of the school headmistress Antonella Cazzato, and the introductory speech of UPI Puglia President Stefano Minerva, other speakers also intervened: Gabriele Abaterusso, mayor of Patù and president of the Unione dei Comuni Terra di Leuca; Giacomo Cazzato, mayor of Tiggiano and president of the Aree Interne Sud Salento; and Antonio Ciriolo, mayor of Poggiardo and president of the Gal Capo Santa Maria di Leuca. Following their remarks, Giulio Sparascio from Turismo Verde-Confederazione Italiana Agricoltori, and Roberto Serra, the Director General of UPI Puglia, also participated in the discussion. Finally, the event concluded with the coordinator of the TANGO-Circular project, Pietro Picuno, who outlined the project and its results.
